I enjoy history, including history of World War II. My father landed on D-Day in a glider of the 101st Airborne. Finally made it to the National WW2 Museum in New Orleans.
- The museum is like walking though a history book with actual artifacts instead of pictures.
- An embossing machine to make dog tags.
- A jeep in a glider.
- Many gliders were damaged by Rommel’s Asparagus (telephone poles placed in open fields).
- The Boeing Pavilion displaying WW2 aircraft.
- A 105mm Howitzer.
- A Higgins Boat landing craft.
- Andrew Higgins of New Orleans adapted his swamp boat for the military.. He made more conventional craft as well.
- A model of the USS Arizona, sunk at Pearl Harbor.
