We had time to visit another waterfall before visiting the railroad museum in Saluda, NC at the “top of the grade.”

- To help trains up the steep grade they needed a helper engine, this articulated steam engine was one of them.

- Runaway trains wrecked. To prevent this it was suggested to build a runaway train track. Highways followed suit with runaway truck ramps.
