Cumberland Gap

Cumberland Falls is not in or close to Cumberland Gap National Historical Park (which spans KY, TN, and VA). We had trouble getting there because Apple Maps is stupid.

Should have realized when it said “ends at closest road…” When Siri announced it was time to park the car and walk, I yelled at her and called her names. Shouldn’t it know I wanted to go to like the park entrance road or visitor center?

But the view from The Pinnacle was superb. The actual gap is low and right of center.

The gap was the way west from the crowded East. The existing residents were none to thrilled. One of Daniel Boone’s sons was killed by them while trying to pioneer the way.
