I have already been to The Place the Music Died, where Buddy Holly and others died in a plane crash. Today we visited his birthplace, Lubbock, Texas: The Buddy Holly Center. No photos permitted inside. It’s too bad, because the history of rock’n’roll and Buddy Holly artifacts were well worth seeing.
When it came time to leave Lubbock, we sang along with Mac Davis, Happiness Is Lubbock, Texas in My Rearview Mirror.
