I expected this to be called “Reston Zoo” but the internet search returned NOVA Wild. NOVA is short for Northern Virginia. We were looking for an activity to enjoy while visiting our oldest great granddaughter in the Washington, DC area. (We actually had lived in Reston over 30 years ago and had visited the zoo then.)
We started off in the butterfly house. (I have a thing for butterflies and lots of butterfly photos here.) Click a photo to enlarge it and start a slide show.
They also had a sloth, monkeys, birds and other less-photogenic animals.
An apology to subscribers over the garbage-looking emails sent recently. I was adding custom code to the website’s theme and did not expect an email to be sent. My trusty co-administrator, Copilot (the AI), advised me how to both fix the code and not send an email. It confidently gave a wrong answer. It won’t happen again, I hope. All this because the theme I use updated and stopped placing the photo gallery the way I wanted it. It still doesn’t. Maybe it’s time for a new theme.
