We visited the Briscoe earlier this year (The Briscoe Western Art Museum). This time we walked over from the Alamo through the rain while the GPS kept moving the destination. Wound up a longer walk than it should have been. Did I mention it was through the rain. Yuck.
Here are some of the things we saw (no repeats from the earlier post):
- “They rode with Villa.” That’s Pauncho Villa, the famous Mexican bandit.
- “Mr. Remington and the Buffalo Soldiers.” A tribute to Fredrick Remington.
- The Alamo diorama.
- Davy Crocket in the spotlight.
- “The Oracle”
- Spanish Silver Reals.
- Every Western museum needs a stagecoach. This one is a replica.
- Peccary.
