A few odd odds and leftover ends from the photos (and one video) of our last trip. As always, click to enlarge and start a slideshow. When you do, you will be able to see which camera was used and its settings:
- We drove through a number of forests of big trees. This is along the Avenue of the Giants.
- I stoppped to take a photo of the big trees, unconcerned about traffic. On the northeren half of the route there were no cars. The guide book said it’s bumper to bumper in the summer.
- Point Arena lighthouse study in corrosion.
- From the Point Arena lighthouse, a collection of whale bones. Migrating whales can be seen from here, but not the day we were there.
- A deer comes running down the road and I grab my point-and-shoot camera to get this photo and one of where he used to be. We saw many deer including one on a street corner in Coos Bay.
- A portrait of the photographer by his wife. Just to show I really took the trip and the photos!
We stopped at a scenic overlook (one of many) and I heard a clinking noise. Looking down I see a man splitting a log. I think he will be there for a long time:
