To Oakland with Alex and Kay to see the Oakland A’s play the Baltimore Orioles play. Arriving in Oakland early we visited the Oakland Museum of California. There are three museums in one: natural history, history, and art. We only had time for natural history. We peeked into the History museum and it looked very intriguing. I hope to get back to see history. But here are some of the things we did see.
With the addition of Oakland, my MLB stadium list now stands at 11 (not including stadiums I’ve visited, but have now been torn down – Cleveland Muni and the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome):
Angel Stadium of Anaheim | Anaheim, California | Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim |
Chase Field | Phoenix, Arizona | Arizona Diamondbacks |
Fenway Park | Boston, Massachusetts | Boston Red Sox |
Kauffman Stadium | Kansas City, Missouri | Kansas City Royals |
Miller Park | Milwaukee, Wisconsin | Milwaukee Brewers |
Minute Maid Park | Houston, Texas | Houston Astros |
Oakland–Alameda County Coliseum 8/13/17 | Oakland, California | Oakland Athletics |
Progressive Field | Cleveland, Ohio | Cleveland Indians |
Rogers Centre | Toronto, Ontario | Toronto Blue Jays |
Safeco Field 6/24/17 | Seattle, Washington | Seattle Mariners |
Target Field 6/15/17 | Minneapolis, Minnesota | Minnesota Twins |
There is no comparison to the quality of the Oakland Coliseum – it’s the worst of any stadium I’ve visited. Phoenix Chase Field is the Taj Mahal in comparison.
