Jacob is in the army now and we were in the Army Museums in and near Fort Bragg, North Carolina. We brought Jacob some of his stuff from home (it’s been in the van since our Washington trip). Funny coincidence that he is at Fort Bragg; my father was stationed there in the 40’s before going to Europe. My dad said they served so much mutton there that they called it Fort Braaaaagg.

First museum was on base, 82d Airborne Division War Memorial Museum. It provided the history of the 82nd from inception through both World Wars to the present day. It included conflicts I did not remember (intervening in The Congo in the 60s for one).
