Despite the pandemic sometimes you need to get out of the house and go for a walk. We did. At the Desert Botanical Garden. (We decided to use some of the “free” money the government gave us to support the garden and the Phoenix Zoo with annual memberships.) The walk was also our treat for our 54th anniversary.

- Each visit I take a photo by the giant Cardon cactus that looks like a Saguaro. But isn’t. This is the first one with a masked person used to supply scale.
- There’s usually some fauna to go with the flora, like this Gambel’s Quail.
- Boojums are from Baja, but grow tall here too. It’s actually a tree and related to ocotillo.
- Saguaro.
- This piece of art is called Wind. Later this spring we’ll see Water and Earth.
- Speaking of art this Chihuly glass is a permanent exhibit.
