A stop at Chiriaco Summit off I10 in California includes lunch in the coffee shop… and a good lunch it was. Fresh hamburger and fries, served hot. not heat lamp hot, straight from the grill hot. Followed by cherry pie for Kay and the richest chocolate cake I’ve had in ages for me.
Lunch was followed by a tour of the General George S. Patton Memorial Museum. (Official website.) Sadly the outdoor tank exhibit was closed for maintenance and repair, so I had to take pictures through the fence:
