Butterflies

When I first got my “fancy” camera (a Canon Rebel) some years ago, I took a photography lesson. There were lots of settings on the camera and I was unsure what they did and how to use them. The lesson was “leave the setting on Av… now let’s go to the Desert Botanical Garden and take some pictures of butterflies.” I’ve been fascinated by butterflies ever since. Subsequent visits to the Desert Botanical Garden’s butterfly exhibit and to Butterfly Wonderland resulted in more photos. A July visit here is documented in an earlier post, Butterfly Aquarium. Here are some of those first-time (and second time) butterfly photos. You can click on a photo to enlarge it and start a slide show. when you do that you will find one photo of a butterfly that was photobombed by a bee!
